This page is used to show and modify basic monitor settings,include system status,device,monitor mode, IP segement and local servers. Settings
1. System status
Current monitor service status.You can stop/start monitor by clicking "Start/Stop". 2. DeviceNetwork adapter on which WFilter listens. For example: "192.168.1.101--Realtek RTL8139 Family Fast Et". Some switches do not allow outgoing traffics on the monitor port, if so you should set another blocking adaptor for WFilter to send blocking packets. 3. ModeTwo monitor modes are available: "By MAC address" and "By IP address". You can use "By MAC address" mode in a single segment network while "By IP address" mode in a multi-segments network. More information,please refer to "Deployment Guide". 4. IP SegementsIP segements of your network.You do not need to set this in a single segment network. Separated by a comma.Example:"192.168.1.0,192.168.2.0/24","/24" is the submask(means:255.255.255.0). If you do not enter a submask, it is 24 by default. 5. Local ServersBy default, WFilter only monitor internet traffics. To monitor local servers like local email server, You need to configure local server IP address here. Multiple IP addresses are supported(seperated by a comma), For example:192.168.1.101,192.168.2.103 NoteIf your host have more than one network adaptor,be sure to choose the correct one. |
