Protocol Summary

FreeCast is a Java application which allows peer-to-peer streaming. It makes possible a stream broadcast to a large number of listeners from a simple DSL connection.

Communication

Freecast's audio service use TCP port 1666 to communicate by default. When port 1666 is invalid, the audio service will be unavailable.

Freecast's video service use UDP port 3478 to communicate ,when the port 3768 is invalid, the video service will be unavailable.

How to block Freecast?

Because Freecast use fixed port to communicate, so you can block it only by disable the ports in the firewall.
