Protocol Summary

OpenFT is a new network developed by the giFT project. KCeasy is a windows front end for the giFT filesharing system. Plugins allow giFT to support different kinds of filesharing networks.

KCeasy currently supports the following networks: Gnutella (Shareaza, Gnucleus, LimeWire, Bearshare, XoloX),Ares (Ares Galaxy, Warez P2P)and OpenFT (A new network developed by the giFT project). And of course KCeasy is completely spyware free and Open Source.

Communication

KCeasy uses OpenFT protocol. KCeasy use TCP port 1215 as its default login port. It use TCP port 1216 as its default downloading port. TCP port 6667 is used to chat.

How to block OpenFT?

Because OpenFT can switch port automatically, so you can not block them only by disable the ports in the firewall. And OpenFT has no central server, also can not block it by blocking server ip address. So the only way is using professional tools to block OpenFT.
