Ventrilo 2.3.0 is the next evolutionary step of Voice over IP (VoIP) group communications software.

Ventrilo is also the industry standard by which all others measure themselves as they attempt to imitate its features. By offering surround sound positioning and special sound effects on a per user， per channel， per server or global configuration level the program provides each user the option to fully customize exactly how they wish to hear sounds from other users or events.

通讯方式

Ventrilo主要采用TCP通讯方式，默认登陆端口为服务器开放端口，本例以TCP 9000端口测试，当TCP 9000端口不通时，则登陆失败，聊天也是通过服务器的TCP 9000端口进行通讯的。

如何封堵Ventrilo？

由于Ventrilo通讯端口不固定，所以不可以通过传统的封堵端口的方式来限制Ventrilo的使用（除非已经知道服务器的端口）。 我们建议您可以采用以下两种方式来管理Ventrilo：

• 1). 采用端口封堵的方式，用防火墙把局域网内的某些IP或IP段的公网端口（已知Ventrilo的服务器端口）禁止掉。
• 2). 使用专用的上网监控软件，专业的上网监控软件可以对网络数据进行分析过滤，从中筛选出Ventrilo通讯数据，进而封堵掉该链接实现监控。
