Policy Settings >> IP Management

  1. "IP Management" shows the monitored ip addresses and their last activity time.
  2. You can disable/enable monitoring, delete monitored computers and set ip-mac binding for certain computers.

Settings

  1. "Enable Monitoring": enable monitoring for certain computers.
  2. "Disable Monitoring": disable monitoring for certain computers.
  3. "Enable IP-MAC Binding": enable IP-MAC binding will bind current ip address to current MAC address (Or bind MAC to IP address on "by ip address" monitoring mode). Internet access of certain computers will be blocked if IP-MAC binding is violated.
  4. "Disable IP-MAC Binding": disable IP-MAC Binding for certain computers.
  5. "Delete": delete certain computers including their monitored data.

Notice

WFilter can not prevent users to change their ip addresses, however, when ip-mac binding is enabled, certain computers internet access will be blocked if their ip/mac do not match the ip-mac binding settings. Please also notice:

  1. IP-MAC binding can not work in a multi-segments network.
  2. IP-MAC binding can not work for un-monitored computers.
  3. In "By IP Address" monitoring mode, a MAC address can has several IP addresses if you're using a DHCP server to allocate ip addresses dynamically. You can only bind the MAC address to the last IP address.
