"New(Edit) Record Level Settings" is the detailed configuration of a recording level.

Settings

1. Level Name

Name of this level which will also be displayed in the "User-computer table".

2. Level Desc

Description of this level.

3. Messengers

You can select the chat recording policy: "Report Only" means only record the number of messages; "Record Content" means record the number of messages and message content.

Only MSN, tencent qq(password requried), Yahoo, ICQ, Plain Jabber, Fetion are supported for chat contents recording.

4. Web Activities

  1. In "Record Web Surfing", "Report Only" means only record the number of Web Surfing; "Record Title" means record the number and title of Web pages visited.
  2. In "Record Web Posting", "Report Only" means only record the number of Web Posting; "Record Title" means record the number and title of Web pages visited; "Record Content" means record the number, title and content of Web Posting.
  3. "Websites exception list" defines websites not to be recorded. One domain per line, wildcard(* ?) supported, do not include "http://". Websites in this list will not be recorded.

5. Emails

  1. Email protocols supported: SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, Web-based Emails(only some common web-email are supported), Lotus Notes.
  2. "Report Only" means only record the number of Emails; "Record Title" means record the number and subject of Emails; "Record Content" means record the number, subject and email content.
  3. Email content will not be recorded if email size exceeds the system limit which is defined in "System Settings"->"Manage Logs".
  4. Only some common web-based emails are supported, web-emails not in the support list will be recorded in the "Web Post".
  5. HTTPs web-based emails and web posting can not be recorded.

6. File Transfers

"Report Only" means only record the number of file transfers; "Record File Name" means record the number of file transfers and file name; "Record File Content" means record the number, file name, and file content.

7. Recording Time

Time periods for this level to take effect, multiple time periods are separated by commas, such as "08:00-12:00,14:00-18:00".

8. Enable Bandwidth Report in the Recording Time

If not enabled, there will be no report for computers with this recording policy.

9. Out of Time Periods

Policy applied when out of the time periods.
